What I liked
1. The Service - Friendly staff and not too long of a wait to be attended to and served. Restaurant was almost full when I was there.
2. The Ambience - Clean, contemporary and simplistic. Did I mention clean?
3. The Food - Food was flavourful and hot. Banana leaf rice comes with sambal ikan bilis, 3 vegetables, rasam, papadam, the works. The vegetables tasted fresh and tasty, the mutton was spicy but I like spicy. Coconut water was a refreshing relief and the coconut bro coffee is a must try.
4. Price - Very reasonable. No complaints. I have had not as good for much more elsewhere plenty of times.
5. Overall experience - Not your typical banana leaf restaurant, they've got a bit of a cafe feel here, airconditioned, although mainly indian food but very typically Malaysian, and the staff were all Malaysians, hence their name. Will definitely come back here when I'm around the area and I would recommend it to anyone.
What I didn't like
1. The parking - A bit difficult to get parking in the end had to park in the private parking on 2nd floor. Walk down was okay, the walk up after eating rice was a challenge ;)
Finally a better Indian food in usj. The food was delicious and the chicken varuval was one of the best I had. I loved the acar pickles. Only hope is that they maintain this quality.
Came here last night and loveddd the mee goreng..so spicy and tasty...roti pisang was also so yummy..not too sweet with super generous portions of banana..definitely satisfied our hunger pangs..
