Four Points By Sheraton Sandakan

Definitely the best hotel to stay in Sandakan and one of the best hotels in Sabah. It has complimentary valet for guests which is so convenient considering the congested area it is located at. I stayed at the twin bedroom and it was great. It has two super singles with 4 pillows on each bed. The bathroom is comfortable as well with retractable clothing line to dry your swimwear should you decide to take a dip in the pool. And the line is conveniently placed below a vent making clothes dry faster. I also ordered room service twice and it did not disappoint. Food were sent within 30 minutes of order and they tasted great. The room service even took the time to call us back after each order has arrived to ensure our satisfaction. The breakfast has plenty of food to choose from. Local delicacies and western foods are included. Though I wish the egg station chef was more skilled. It's pretty sad when you had dry omelettes twice when there are not too many people at the counter. I even went for the dinner buffet on Friday night which they had grilled section and it was amazing. The steak was grilled to medium each time and the sheperd's pie was amazing as well. There were also plenty of seafood to choose from for the grilling as well. The pool is slightly small though I never experienced it to be too crowded. And the view is amazing as you can see sunrise and sunset from the hotel windows. My only complain is that the valet some times took too long to get our car though the situation is highly understandable. My advice is, make sure you always leave 15 mins prior to your desired time to ensure there's no delay in your travel or let the valet know at what time you will be leaving the next day so that they will park your car at a nearer parking lot. Overall, this is one of the best hotel experience I've had. It is definitely value for your money and has great services to offer to its guests. Thank you for the great experience.

Four Points by Sheraton is the only International hotel in Sandakan. The central location on the waterfront means that almost everywhere in the hotel has stunning water views. Our room on the 25th floor was the best spot for sunset and we loved to watch the morning water traffic from the floor to ceiling windows at the 10th-floor restaurant where a massive buffet style breakfast was served each morning. Of course, the highlight is the infinity pool which boasts breathtaking views of the sea and the mountains. This Sheraton branch cares about the local community and was hosting a charity gala during our stay to raise funds for low-income children in need of medical care.
