The Hokkien noodles was just simply too good! The service is pretty fast.. we went at 5pm so we kinda beat the crowd.. the price is super reasonable too!

Lovely Hokkien Mee, fried rice and meehoon. The Hokkien Mee had a generous amount of pork lard but the Meehoon had too many vegetables. Service was good and attentive and the restaurant's air-con section was pretty clean.

The Chinese style stir-fry noodle has been a few decades history in Malaysia, these simple noodle dishes have been improvised and serve as a common street food in local places. Although there are many restaurants out there selling stir-fry noodles, Damansara Uptown Hokkien Mee is well known as the best among all.

I've heard that it's the most enticing Hokkien Mee in town! Finally have a try after four months staying in KL. Hokkien Mee which mixed with Hokkien Mee Hoon is the best.

Great place for hokkien mee.food arrived in 5mins.a lot of ingredients like cabbage, meat, prawns but the cabbage seemed a little undercooked and stil stuck together in chunks.
price may be a little higher than the coffee shop tai chow.the damansara uptown outlet offers the option of with or without aircond. Opens only from 5pm to 2.30am.😋

Tried:
Hokkien mee for 3ppl -big portion at rm28.90
Choy sum vege for 1 person -rm10.90
Herbal tea - rm3 (a bit pricey) for normal pat zhi chou.

Sedap wei. This is the real deal.
I think this is the authentic shop? Many people fight over who's real or not.
They have really good hokkien mee at a reasonable price. I love to drown myself with the chili sauce. You should try the man yee mee here!
The place is crowded and hot.

Hokkien mee (3.5/5) and Roasted duck (3.5/5) are their signature. This killer combo guarantees a wholesome meal and is famous among local foodies.

Nothing to complain about the hokkien mee except for the prawns. Somehow they have decided to leave half of the shell on. Maybe some people like to eat the shell?

The awesomeness of the roasted duck will require some luck and finesse; come at the right time when the ducks are freshly out of the oven.

Eat outside to keep your food hot.

If you want an authentic malay experience, go here! Order the fried rice, hokkien mee with pork lard, and the shells. So good it will keep you coming back for more!

Two things to eat here, "KL Hokkien Mee" and "Roasted Duck". Its inexpensive, its delicious, and it's pridefully Malaysian, can get a bit heavy, so bring a couple of friends to enjoy this meal Non Halal too by the way .Not to be confused with Singaporean (which is lighter in colour) and Penang Hokkien Mee, the KL version (a.k.a Char Mee) is famous for the dark, fragrant sauce that the noodles are braised in. It's the first dish that you should seek out as soon as I touch down in KL!

This place is highly casual and is famous for its star item "Hokkien mee", it almost seems like illegal to eat here, with its flimsy plastic table and chair placed all around the main walkway and not routinely in the restaurant itself, but trust me it is legal in Malaysia to eat like this. The restaurant is open from 5pm to 2am, and parking will be a challenge Im not going to lie, level of parking congestion remains roughly the same as it was eight years ago, and double parking is common. I usually park mine in the newly constructed underground garage parking which cost a minimal fee of RM 2 or any parking garage in the centre of this congested area, and walk.

The Mee Hokkien RM9 for 1pax, RM 17 for 2 pax, RM 24 for 3 pax, RM 30 for 4 pax is undeniably tasty, a springy texture of the thick noodles combined with a sweet, fragrant and salty taste from the special soy sauce, and a small serving of veggies. The prominent taste in the Hokkien mee is the Crispy fried pork fat - better known as Chu Yau Char, which enhances the flavor and delivers a crispy bite. The noodle dish is quite heavy, so sharing a 1 pax plate is more than enough. It's not very protein dense, since there hardly is not meat, so do order the delicious Guangzhou roasted duck, at a rate of RM 15 for 1/4, RM 30 for 1/2 and RM 59 for whole. The duck has a crispy skin on the outside and a very tender meat on the inside, and the meat is so well marinated and prepared, there is hardly a gamey taste.

The two most important condiments to enjoy with the hokkien mee is the homemade chili paste and sliced pickled chilies (light green color), it brings out a special depth of taste and kick to the dish that Malaysians call Oooompphhh. And for those who want extra fat, it can be ordered on the side for RM0.50.

The business is cash only. Ordering here is simple, just take a seat and the server will come to you with the menu -- skip the rest and order their hokkien mee, however the duck would need to specifically be ordered at the counter. Remembering your table number is important to order the duck and also to pay later at the main counter at the end of the meal, they don't bring the bill to you.
