I've been there twice and I find the place never overcrowded, which makes chatting and hanging out great for me, except for the blaring music. I love both the savory and sweet pies! I personally don't eat cheesecake but I find their blueberry cheese pie light and creamy. The lamb pie was a simple dish but makes good comfort food
Very tasty pies. For the savoury ones, the pulled lamb pie and chunky steak pie is definitely the star (my meat lah!). Only slight criticism is the pies could have been a little warmer. For the sweet ones, try the salted caramel.

A Pie Thing is by far the right place for you to go to fix your pie cravings. You can not just satisfy your sweet tooth with their popular smores pie, which consists of dark/milk chocolate of your choice, and topped with tempting toasted marsmallows! While sweet potato doesn't truly sound like a dessert, give it a try. Served with a scoop of yam ice cream, sweet potato pie is truly delicious which had me craving for another one!
In terms of savory, The Pulled Lamb is the bomb! The shredded lamb with hints of herbs topped with mash potatoes, mushy peas and gravy couldn't get any better. It's fulfilling, satisfying and tasty! If you're a first timer, try go for the Mashacre ( savory pie of your choice with all the toppings ). It's their signature too, by the way. Definitely a perfect package to make your day!
Oh and not to forget, you'll be welcomed and served with a warm and lovely service from the friendly staffs too. Get yourself cozy with the music and get your pie fix !
Came with a group of friends and ordered the chocolate fudge pie. We gave some feedback about the texture being different from before and no oozing chocolate. Our feedback was immediately escalated to the supervisor who investigated the issue and came back to us with complimentary pie. Honestly, it is rare to get such good customer service, especially when it's a very busy day for them. It is not often that a complaint is immediately acted on, explanation and solution provided promptly. Big thumbs up for Azri and the management team of A Pie Thing.
What a pleasant experience I had, the friendly greeting to a very helpful staff ready to explain to me abaut each pie taste. Congrats to this shop on their wonderful staff, truly a wonderful experience cheers!
The best pie in town! The best pie in town! The best pie in town! It's so good that I have to say it thrice!
I am not a big fan of savoury flavor pies..but yours are very goooooood..man..these pies are to die for!!!!

I stopped in here on Sunday afternoon, it's quite quiet at 16:30. I ordered the Elvis sweet pie. I thought the crust was a little thick, but as I ate it I realized it was perfect complement for the chocolate, peanut, banana and cream. The Elvis is 12RM, but I used a Fave voucher 15RM for the pie and drink. Good value I thought.
Ordered the dark chocolate s'more pie and salted caramel cheesecake which are both amazing. Everything is so well done, the crust has a very good balance with the filling and so with every single bite you can have the crust and the filling.
The redeeming thing about this place is their lemon curd pies. Just like how mommy used to make them. I love you lemon curd pies.
Savoury pies are just too salty for my individual taste. Sorry guys.
A classic dessert place in Uptown!
For anyone who stays in KL or Selangor, when we think about cafes in Uptown, one of the first cafes we think of is - A Pie Thing (and for good reason!)
Open till late for those late night chats, great atmosphere, chill vibes but most importantly, they serve AMAZING pies! My personal favourite is the S’more’s pie which I’ve been ordering since I was 16 (3 years now!) I loveeee the balance of sweet and salty! Their sweet pies are awesome but make sure not to miss out on their savoury pies which are so good as well!
Definitely a cafe I’ll never get sick of visiting!
I absolutely LOVE A Pie Thing in Damansara Uptown. They serve up the best pies. Fat, compact, full of flavour, and topped with mushy peas, mashed potato, and gravy. Mmmmm!. The only reason I don’t eat it so often if because it’s a long walk away from the office and it’s close to RM20 🙁
Excellent dessert and lunch cafe. Was quite surprised when I saw they had savoury pies for offer. Went with the classical blueberry cheese pie and chocolate fudge. Both were top notch and some of the best desserts I have had in a while. Shop felt really aesthetic and was well designed. Staff was friendly and warm as well. Would recommend to anyone seeking for free diabetes.
The location isn’t hard to find. The server friendly and very helpful when I asked about the pies. Tried the smoores pie the taste good but not my typical snacks. Will come back for to try another pie.
We tried the Nutella pie with ice cream. Very rich in flavour and light on the stomach. Doesn't feel too full or jelak. Nice crunchy crustamd soft on the inside
Their smores pie is to die for. Like I've killed 2 people for the last one. Lines are usually fairly short and they have wifi. It gets a little cold though.
The pie is so delicious! But I would advice you to go there with empty stomach as the portion is quite big. I made a mistake of eating lunch first before went to A Pie Thing. I ended up being so full. The environment also nice and cozy.
Great environment to chill and hangout with friends, the staffs were friendly. Tried their tiramisu and apple crumble pie, both were not too sweet; their pie crust was good, texture on point, not too flaky. Definitely will be back to try other pies.
Delicious pies served hot , couple of them were sold out when we were there we went for the chocolate one which is ok , coffee is great. SErvice is friendly. Will go there again
Ever think of enjoying a full course meal just by having a variety of pie? Yes, you might find this exceptional interesting concept in A Pie Thing Restaurant. A Pie Thing is a quaint cafe that serves up delicious homemade sweet and savoury pies, imported confectioneries, as well as a satisfying range of coffees and teas in Kota Damansara area.
Headed over last week to try their Halloween special, Hells Chicken Mashecre (savoury pie) and a drink of Blood sacrifice. To made it complete, I got another Salted Caramel Cheese Pie (sweet pie). I personally favor the savour one.
Been wanting to try this place for a long time and finally managed to try it over the weekend. We got two pies, one sweet which was the Chocolate Fudge and we also got a savoury pie, the Chunky Steak, Mashacre Version. Let's start off with Chocolate Fudge. Its a cream cheese based filling and personally I'm not a fan of chocolate and cream flavour so this pie was just ok. We wanted to get the milk chocolate version of the Smores pie but they were already out. The overall flavour of the pie was sweet and not my favourite but I have to say the pastry for the pie is great. Moving on to the higlight of my Pie experience, the Mashacre. I got the combo which was the Mashacre and a soda for rm20.90. My base pie was the chunky steak which was topped off with mash potato, mushy peas and drowned in gravy. The pie itself tasted amazing, chunky steak pieces and vegetables, the filling was so juicy and moist. The crust was to die for. So crisp and flaky and solid. The mash potato tasted great as well and the mushy peas were a great addition too. The gravy although not my favourite, when eaten together with everything ties it all together. Would definitely be back to try some of their sweet pies like the Nutella and Mint Chocolate as well as the savoury Nacho Chicken. Definitely go and try it out yourself!
2nd time here and my first time trying s'mores pie which was abit disappointing not because it taste bad but the s'mores itself was crunchy which is suppose to be ooey gooey, but the apple crumble pie was still super delicious and I've never ever tasted a apple crumble as good as this yet.
Really like the pies here!
Savoury and sweet pies are both good
I like the meat pies because they served with mashed peas and gravy. It's perfect.
It's slightly on the high price
I would come back here
Friendly service and great ambiance
A cozy place to have a chat with friends over a good food. The savoury pie (there's a few choices) with mash and gravy on top are to die for ❤️ The crumbly, golden, all-butter shortcrust pastry is excellent, and the innards equally good - tender chunks of well-cooked chicken in a thick gravy with mushrooms.
For sweet tooth, I recommended to choose Tiramisu pie instead of S'mores( the taste is so-so for me) and choc mint pie.
What impressed me the most is that the meal been served in an eco-friendly cardboard tray. Quite the lunchtime feast.
Cozy environment with a minimalistic 'hipster' vibe. Wide variety of sweet and savoury pies ranging frm RM10 to RM15+. Not many choices on drinks though. Nacho Chicken pie was delectable and esthetically pleasing. 'The Elvis' pie (chocobanana) pie was so-so only. Would recommended it for tea or brunch.
Very appetising. The savoury pie is like comfort food especially when paired with mashed potato and gravy. Good place to take away pies for any potluck party.
They offer the best affordable pies in town.
Must try the pulled lamb and smores pies...
Don't worry about the calories, go for the whole mashacre shebang, absolutely divine...

Can we all please take a moment to appreciate that this people over here has perfected the art of making delicious, flavourful, filling, flaky and affordable pie.
Took the pulled lamb pie and tried the caramel cheese pie.
Literally melted in my mouth and I am still craving for it till today..
I can't explain any further, they have perfected it and the only way to appreciate it is by trying! You will not regret it!
Nothing much to say about the service as I ordered for takeaway, however, the cashier was particularly friendly and helpful (my friend hahaha).
I ordered the pulled lamb pie based on the recommendation of the cashier. It was good! Very tasteful and plenty of stuffing.
Interior was well decorated, plain yet nice.
On a side note, I got 15% off due to a student discount from this app called UniTreats!
a PIE THING famous for their pie
Love their pie over there and their overall ambiance is great as they kept it simple and stylish with cemented.
Their famous pie is the s'more you should try is their signature some time during seasonal time they served lava green tea pie and it is great as well.
Love the pie there and they do served soft drink, coffee and tea there as well to top up with your selection of pie over there.
Went there around Christmas time. And they put a candy cane there haha! Green tea pie is really good (more balance of bitter sweet taste on my opinion ofc). Nice place for dessert.
The first time i heard of this place i was really happy because it's a pie and i have major crush on pies. Tried it and love it. Always go for the dessert.
A pie thing is a concept cafe serving sweet and savory pies. come here a few times because my friends are a sweet tooth, loving their pies. The pie sizes was quite small for me considering the price given. The pies are inconsistent sometimes. My friends's smores pie was not as appetizing, the crust was too crumbly and the marshmellows were too little, this happened twice (at sunway branch), but the rest was okay. Not really a sweet tooth, my choice comes to their savory pies, the size is quite big, their mashed peas and potatoes are nice combined with the pies and the gravy. For the sweet pies I recommend trying the apple crumble, less sweeter than the other. The drinks taste okay.
Pretty awesome pies with flavours that will satisfy any kind of eater. The crust is freshly baked and the fillings are really tasty. It's a little on the pricey side but in today's market, quite standard for most cafes.

I always wondered if there is any shop that can make better pies and not just only apple pies that my mom bakes all the time. Walah. There's one shop which just sells only pies! What's amazing is that you can have the pie in either as a dish or dessert. So head down to A Pie Thing to taste different types of pies that they can offer!
They are definitely serving wide range of pies from hot to cold. I have The Mashacre for mine, it's a hot, hearty, and creamy toppings of mashed potatoes, peas and gravy. The mashed potato and peas are smoothness and creaminess. You will not leave without finishing every single portion.
A Pie Thing opens at 4PM! Yes, 4PM! Don't come on morning, ok? Anyway please come early, since mostly around 60 pies are served every evening. If you plan to come on weekends, please come before 4pm and queue up before they start business.
