Great Chinese Tea Tasting Experience
Tasho tea art centre is a traditional Chinese tea shop, it’s a combination of art and tea. This is a great place to experience the Chinese tea culture and with its awesome serene ambience and fine oriental decor makes it an ideal sanctuary to seek solace amidst the rush of the business district.
The tea room carries a wide selection of Pu'er tea produced in Yunnan province, China, ranging from the "raw" shēngchá (生茶) to shúchá (熟茶). Pu'er traditionally begins as a raw product known as "rough" máochá (毛茶) and can be sold in this form or pressed into a number of shapes and sold as "raw" shēngchá (生茶). Both of these forms then undergo the complex process of gradual fermentation and maturation with time. This process involves an accelerated fermentation into "ripe" shúchá (熟茶) which is then stored loose or pressed into various shapes.
Tea culture in China differs from that in European countries like Britain. Chinese tea to most people is that common, slightly bitter beverage, but with the guidance from the owner to enjoy Pu'er tea, after a while, the tea bring up a unique woody earthy flavor. Surprisingly i was there for almost 3 hours for few cups of tea, well, Time flies when you're having fun. It was a nice experience getting to know a little about Pu'er tea from the owner.
