A beautiful tea shop in Melaka! This was a great find while walking along the street. The owner was extremely friendly and gracious. He took us on a tour of this old house, showing us around and explaining the history. The rooftop is nice and breezy, looking over other rooftops.. to spend some time in the evening especially to escape from the heat of Melaka. We were introduced to different types of tea and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves..the menu looks inviting, and we would have given it a try had we been a bit more hungry!!
The Cheng Ho vegetarian restaurant is held in an exquisite traditional Chinese arts settings. Very rare setting for a vegetarian house.
The owner Mr Kok, with his 2 assistants Xian Zhang & Tom were very friendly when we (a group of 10) visited them this 13 Feb 2016. We were took on a tour to know more about the restaurant & it's history.
The Cheng Ho museum which is linked to the vegetarian restaurant is a must to visit (per pax RM10 for adults). The museum guide will give u a better & detailed understanding of the great admiral Cheng Ho, the history during his time etc. The museum walk is around an hour, and ends with a 10 mins cartoon introducing the great admiral Cheng Ho. Money well spent. It would be a waste to forgo visiting the museum.
Overall, the trip to the vegetarian restaurant & the museum is awesome & we have a great fun taking many beautiful photos!
Best hospitality since i come to malaysia with beautiful heritage and amazing tea experience
