There might not be fancy slick furniture’s or sophisticated equipped tabletop grills like many other Korean BBQ joints, but this place is almost always full and packed with patrons. If you are looking for a good Korean charcoal barbecue fix, then look no further. This one here is considerably well round up with all the classics including delicious spicy pork, seafood, and marinated chicken alongside appetising banchans.
Popular for the crowd but not the pork and charcoal as per a Korean friend... overall the food was nice and with reasonable price especially when u order the set..
My recent favorite Korean BBQ restaurant, good food with reasonable price. Love the BBQ rice balls and baby squids.
The only downside is the after meal smell, shouldn't complain as it is expected eh!
Rice ball was fun to make, but oh-so-spicy! The marinated beef was not that good, but the pork was yummy. Service is pretty good as well. Must call to make reservation, always packed!
If you are a barbeque lover, a korean food eater, you will never want to miss out this restaurant, Sae Ma Eul which located in Solaris, Mont Kiara. This restaurant is full of customers especially on Friday and Saturday night, you will need to queue up if you did not come early!. What so special about it and what I like the most about Sae Ma Eul is that they are not like the typical classy barbeque restaurants that offer air-conditioned environment with premium service, instead of that, they are more Korean-style like restaurant with open door shop, charcoal barbeque stove, and you will need to bake the meat by yourself :) It's a perfect place for drinking friends!
For those who love to see the K-drama scene when they're having a supper while drink Soju, you definitely should come here. Sae Ma Eul is not only offer you a very authentic Korean food but also the atmosphere.
I ordered Sutbul Dak Galbi (grilled chicken), Sam Gyeop Sal (pork belly) and Kimchi Jeon (kimchi pancake). Dang it, they were sooooo good! And all the side dish were also kray. Kimchi was very authentic. I will pay for another visit to try their Choirutan Jumoekbab (rice ball with seaweed) and also their rice wine.
A bit tips for you:
Since you have to grill it by yourself, donnot wash your hair before. Expect to leave smelling like barbecued meats yourself however due to the lingering fumes. It does get extremely crowded especially on weekends, so come early.
Not being the biggest korean bbq enthusiast, I must say that this place is a great option to spend some time over a partly self prepared dinner that gives you enough time to enojoy a good conversation and a few korean beers with friends.
The menu is simple but sufficient, with a few different meat combos and extras. We were sharing the a combo with pork belly, neck and marinated octupus, as well as a bowl of rice with seaweed which one rolls into spicy rice-seaweed balls - a delicious side that almost gives you the feeling of home cooked comfort food. Next time I'll go for some of the other meat options, including duck and beef ribs.
Lastly, the place is really reasonably priced - ended up paying rm100 for two with beer, softdrink, and more food than we could possibly have. Cheers!
Very authentic Korean BBQ restaurant from table to stools are looks like the one in drama. 😆 The price is cheap and affordable and the kimchi is really one of the best you can find in this region!

Hunted down this place after much digging up. The experience of cooking the dish and sitting along side the street is amazing. The overall ambiance is live and cheerful. Usually this place is PACKED! Ordered some chicken and pork for the barbecue. Yummy Kimchi pancakes! Having Soju along with the food gave the occasional kick! A must go for every foodie!
