The food here is really good! However the portions are not that big which makes the food pretty pricey :( would definitely give 5 stars if the price of the food was lower.
Had a delectable dinner at this restaurant located in The Gradens Mall. The tastes of the foods here were above average. The dishes were also intricately presented, making them truly appealing.
I like the ambience too. This place was brightly lit, neat, clean and tidy. The waiting staff were all very friendly and efficient as well.

Great Taiwanese style cruisine. Had the 3 cup chicken : slightly on the saltier side but still very tasty & dry beef udon : incredibly tender beef!
Fong Lye Restaurant (逢莱台湾餐厅) has been the most successful Taiwan Cuisines (besides Din Tai Fung 鼎泰寷) with a plenty of franchise operating in Malaysia. This restaurant is specialized in Trio Balanced Taiwanese Set Dishes and knows the best in preparing it.
Fong Lye Taiwan Fusion Cuisine review. This is the place to go if you want a hearty authentic Taiwanese meal to leave you full and satisfied. I tried the Sweet and Sour Chicken Set because I don't like their more ubiquitous Sweet and Sour Pork which has thick chunks of tough fat which tastes like hard rubber when biting into it, which leads to food waste. I thought that the chicken might let me down too, perhaps because there would be bones and too little meat. I was in for an extremely pleasant surprise though because when I tucked into my meal the chicken was PHENOMENAL. Tender succulent chunks of boneless lean meat coated in a thin sticky layer of batter awakened my tastebuds. They were drenched in a deliciously tangy sweet and sour sauce that was neither too cloying or too bland. There were generous with the chicken meat so I enjoyed eating every morsel till I was stuffed. The lu rou fan(braised mince pork rice) was delicious as always with the perfectly 'al dente' rice and the aromatic and savoury braised pork. The side dishes were quite interesting and were a field trip for the senses : a fried seaweed salad with chicken floss which was delightfully savoury, a tiny scoop of japanese potato salad which was sweet and mild and a decadent mini deep fried ball of dough containing crunchy peanut paste in its centre. I finished it all off with a herbal broth included with the set containing a chunk of chicken, leafy greens, jujubes and goji berries. For my beverage, I took my regular favourite, the Rose Oolong tea which cost RM15.90 for two cups and a teapot(Additional cups cost RM3.18) each. The teapots and cups have a lovely tiny shape that lets you savour each sip of tea slowly as you watch the bustle of the restaurant. The Sweet and Sour Chicken Set cost RM28.41 which sounds hefty but it's actually completely worth it for the generous portion. Come here on the early weekdays to avoid the crowd.
The Menu here may different from Imbi outlet. I like the Mee suah here. Red wine fried rice from selected outlet is nice. Taiwan fried chicken also not bad.
The Taiwanese beef glass noodles are amazing! Delicious!
It comes with side dishes that are acceptable
Always long queue and crowded even though it's pricey.
Fong Lye serves up some great Taiwanese fare. They are popular for their wide variety of set menus. The restaurant is brightly lit and had a bustling yet relaxed atmosphere. I liked how the chairs are more like sofas - so comfortable!
Although we came during peak dinner time, we didn't have to wait at all. I have tried their sesame chicken mee sua, three cup chicken and zhajiang noodle sets. I highly recommend the sesame chicken and zhajiang noodles. I've also tried their famous sweet potato balls. They are so crispy, delicious and addicting!
One thing that could be worked on is the side dishes. The serving is rather small- they could give us a bit more! Also, the drinks taste a bit too sweet for my liking (smoothies).
Fong lye is definitely a place to go to for a special/semi-special occasion. It's quite expensive but nice once in a while!
The food here is overall good.. although there are many customers all the time, the staffs serve fast.. can't find the dish that I ordered (should have take a photo), n can't find in the menu.. the menu in this page is different from the restaurant one, maybe have to double check the menu?
really loved the fried pork intestine and the eggplant stir fried with basil, those two were really great. highly recommend the eggplant if you love eggplant!
