This is a very nice place to go. It has a lot of style and flavour in the drinks and you can tell that the people here like to experiment with ingredients to get amazing results. It's really nice to see a place that doesn't just have the standard cocktails, but has drinks on their menu that reflect and match the flavours that you can find in the famous Ipoh cuisine. The looks of this place, combined with the music, give it a very nice and relaxed atmosphere to enjoy. Ipoh was a very nice city before, but this is the kind of thing it was missing. There's a lot of good things to say about this place, but the best advice i could give you is to just go and enjoy it. Enjoy a few drinks here to prolong your evening of amazing Ipoh flavour, this place is a must-go! :)
Love this place. Well furnished, clean (toilet also very decent) and the volume of their music meets the requirement of a speakeasy bar. Price of their drinks are reasonable, mocktail was served appealing and tastes good, service was really good too!
I was chilling at Chocodok, when I noticed a writing on the table saying "atasspeakeasy"... when traveling I love to check out nice cocktailbars and I really like the speakeasy-concept! So I immediately wanted to know more about Atas, because I didn't knew about any speakeasybars in Ipoh. We went to the address and found some stairs with construction work, so we thought, could be here. We met the owners of Atas, but the bar was not there yet... We talked a bit and we couldn't wait for Atas to be open.:D We travelled to Penang where we stayed with friends and told them about a new speakeasy opening soon in Ipoh. We convinced them to join us to go back to Ipoh and check out the new hidden bar. We had the most amazing night! Tasting all the cocktails and then all the mocktails and then tried some rum or gin or vodka in our mocktails ;-). They asked us for a little feedback and that resulted in another round of amazing drinks! :D <3
