Had lunch with my two colleagues and the experience was a pleasant one though the noise from the traffic on the main road can be a little unnerving.
Been to Streat Thai so many times till i lost count. All the food is delicious. Nice and good ambience, made u feel like you are in a street of Thailand enjoying thai food.
Wow!!!!If you have been to Thailand you can relate to the ambience of this place... Beautifully lit and set up, this place promises you a beautiful plate of thai food...
We had a team lunch here and we had a variety of food and drinks which you can see from the pics I have posted....And all were quite good!!! Will look forward to visiting this place again!☺️
Reasonable priced and delicious food. Their braised beef soup noodles is a must-order. Weekday lunch hour is usually packed and it's outdoor kinda setting so be prepared to get sweaty from the weather and spiciness from food.
We went to their Bangsar South outlet in Nexus. This is one of my favourite restaurant when visiting Kuala Lumpur. All the staff were very fast & friendly. The restaurant’s decor and ambiance also cute. They’re also using special design sippy cup no straw policy for their cold drinks... so big thumbs up 👍🏼 so tonight we ordered:
⚡️ Tom Yam 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
⚡️ Stir fry cabbbage with egg & prawn 👍🏼
⚡️ Fish Cake - not my favourite but not so bad
⚡️ Thai Ice tea 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Will definitely come back again next time
Sedap dan harga berpatutan..tomyam dia sgt flavourful sama mcm kat Thailand👍👍 isi dalam dia pun best sbb banyak dan sedap..caramel milk tea rasa sangat sedap dan mango sticky rice dia menarik dan mangga manis elok..cuma roti tu jela tak recommended sgt sbb agak pricy dan rasa dia biasa saja, dip dia tu tak rasa sgt sbb dia lebih bnyk campuran condensed milk..kalau nak tengok menu yg latest boleh pegi kat website dia : http://www.eatatstreat.com/menu/ Overall memang recommended sbb sedap dan service yg baik ✨ (btw ni review makan dekat new branch di Bangsar South👍)
I loooooove the ambience, the service and variety of food to choose from! Busy restaurant especially during dinner yet service is always superb. I recommend the Papaya Salads and the Red Rubies dessert. Awesome place to chill with friends when you just want to recap a busy, tiring day with yummy food that’ll send you home in a happy mood.
The ambience and the food is good. The restaurant is suitable if you want to have food in group. It is pork free restaurant but they do sell beers.
The taste is really Thai. I'm Thai haha. It's good to go with friends. The restaurant are clean. The waiters are polite. Love it. #somtum #thaitea #laab
One of the best Thai food! Personal favourite is definitely their tom yam fried rice and their pandan chicken! Waitress are friendly and reservations can be made beforehand. I love the fact that they have a non smoking area 😁
The tomyam is just ok for me. Overall good. The service is quite fast as well. The price is above average as it’s quite pricey for me to eat during lunch hour.
The place is pretty layback and provide comfort thai food with reasonable price. My suggestion: tom yam soup (well it is thai restaurant), any type of noodle soup (the best is braised chicken noodle- better than boat noodles plus, portion is large and have more meat and bahan2). Also try their coconut shake but AVOID any type of fried rice especially the pineapple nasi goreng (oily, greasy and does not taste good at all)We only eat 1 bite and done with it
Good for a casual and relaxing meal. Try the Tom yum soup which has a good balance of spicy, sour, and slightly creamy, which makes it delicious! Order the absolutely spot on crispy chicken wings and the Thai fish cakes to share. Other dishes we ordered were the bakes fish (which was fresh), green curry (a little watery), hotpot (only if you like beef and its internals), omelet (normal), etc. We also had a free pad Thai with the Christmas promotion, but that was just average. I will definitely come back for the chicken wings and the tom yum soup alone. Price is mid range.
This place is the place to go to if you want to get a Thai fix fast, without any fancy schmancy frills, not on a first date or not intending to propose to your girlfriend. Essentially you come here to eat and leave right after. Just think of a Thai mamak and you'd get the picture.
The pad thai I tried was absolutely spot on and delicious! However the tofu red curry was runny, oily and tasteless. The tofu in tamarind was mehhhh. It wasn't great but it wasn't bad either. You could barely tell it was tamarind sauce as it tasted like soya sauce to me. It was lacking something.
As for the set up, I do give them credit for it. However the ventilation and air conditioning (if any) is in dire need of some looking into. Doesn't make you want to stay to have that dessert and that beer or three.
Service was decent though. They knew how to attend to their customers and provide options to us vegetarians.
The pad thai will definitely get me to come back again, this time maybe in the evening.

+3.5
Good food at reasonable price.. good place for a pork free Thai food however serves alcohol... good for solo eat out or group
I heart the tomyam noodle soup
That Thai Green tea was delightful
They seem to have live band too
Come for authentic thai streat food at a reasonable price but of coz don't expect superb food.the taste is alright if once a while u hav cravings for thai food but u dont want to pay a hefty price. The staff here are thai and quite friendly while patiently taking ur order n i would say they are quite attentive.they also have a live band on weekends but they tend to change the singers.
Tried:
- braised beef noodles which is quite yummy.
- fried chicken wings: yummy n crunchy.mus try.(3pcs -rm10.90)
- pineapple fried rice : acceptable but i hav tasted better
- chicken rice : normal only
- tomyam soup : yummy n spicy
- tomyam porridge : creamy and yummy.mus try.(Weekdays before 6pm not available)
- chicken chop rice : a bit dry but the chicken is tasty and crunchy.
- pad thai noodles : in thailand the taste is better but this is acceptable also.
- fried fritters : i didnt get to try it yet but i heard the banana is good, hence it is always sold out.(Rm0.80 per pc)
- fried kailan with salted fish : the kailan is nice and cruncy but the taste is a bit too salty due to the salted fish.(Rm13.90)
- fish cake : its a patty fish cake served with some nutty sauce.i feel the taste is ok only.i rather order their fried chicken.(Rm10.90)
- tofu in tamarind sauce : the sauce is a bit sourish and its nice but i didnt like the type of tofu used.prefer the normal white tofu.
- drink butterfly pea soda : it has a soda with lychee syrup taste with a hint of lime( quite refreshing)(rm4.90)
- thai shaved ice : not to my liking as it is mainly shaved ice with syrup served with sweet potato, pumpkin and yam at the side.i still prefer our usual msian ice kachang. (Rm8.90)
- red ruby dessert : also not to my liking as the taste is different from those you savour at some thai shops. Maybe too much coconut milk.(Rm6.90)
Now they hav delivery to nearby areas.Within July 2017 is free but after they will charge starting from rm5 onwards.
So today I paid a visit to streat thai after seeing it the last time I came to Jaya one. It looked very promising and gave off a very authentic vibe.
Upon entry, I was warmly greeted by the servers and then ushered to the table. The interior setting was somewhat Thai oriented, but not overly pretentious in my opinion.
Food wise, the green curry was abit diluted. Didn't really enjoy it. The papaya salad was average. My girlfriend said her stir fried thai noodle was a little bit too oily. But the stir fried squid with lime was good! The one dish I enjoyed overall.
Moving on to the drinks, the pandan & lemongrass drink was rather flat. But the coconut smoothie here was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I ordered two servings myself. Very strong coconut taste with a hint of coconut milk. I highly recommend trying the coconut milkshake here and the sotong dish.
All in all, not too bad of a place, will consider coming back 😊
Streat Thai is one of the busiest restaurants in Jaya One for a good number of reasons. While its pork free menu may not please everyone, it certainly appeals to most diners. Food is affordably priced and not to mention the atmosphere is always lively and vibrant. Also, they don’t believe in substituting ingredients for the sake of being a pork free establishment. For example, you will definitely not find ‘moo ping’ made with chicken – they’d rather omit it from the menu completely. Bold decision, but an appreciated one.
