Was there just this morning with my hubs for brunch. I rated this cafe a 5 star due to its food, coffee, customer service and ambience. I found the food to be of a sizeable portion, was pretty stuffed by the end of the meal. I had the mushroom omelette which was of a sizeable portion and filled with shimeji mushrooms. Side salad with drizzling of balsamic vinegar plus crunch of almond slice and grilled tomatoes made a perfect pairing to the omelette. My hub's brekkie came with storemade patty instead of the usual run of the mill processed sausages. Coffee was aromatic especially their signature gula melaka coffee. The affable owner was a pleasure to talk to. Wait staff was attentive and friendly. Cosy ambience with a thoughtful corner dedicated to kids play area. Overall, an oasis of good hearty food and calm in the heart of SS15. Keep up the good work guys.
Love this place! Their food is extraordinary. I would rate their food 5 stars from the presentation and taste. They look and cook exactly like the one in picture. I had salmon bruschetta, SOTD and chicken cashew salad and they were all fantastic (all for RM34!) They use plainly raw and top quality ingredients and the best part is their price is so reasonable! They don't even have extra gst and service charge! Ambience is lovely with jazzy music. I love places like this which cooks up to what they promised!

I've been to Good Friends a few times now, and the food has always been terrific. But I thought I'd just leave a review about their service as well.
Two nights ago my friends and I dined at Good Friends, and we waited for quite some time before our food arrived. Surprisingly, this didn't go unnoticed by one of the staff, who asked about our orders and then proceeded to check with the kitchen. After a short while, our food came, and the same staff suddenly proffered a slice of cake to us, explaining that they wanted to compensate us for waiting so long. She even patiently explained why our food took some time to be prepared (there was a minor mishap in the kitchen) and offered her apologies.
My friends and I all agreed that this was truly a mark of excellent service. I've had my fair share of poor service at other restaurants, so the genuine hospitality I received at Good Friends was a true contrast to the shitty service I've had in the past. Thank you once again for going the extra mile to make my friends and me feel extremely welcomed at your restaurant, and we'll most certainly be visiting you again soon.

My first visit was with my girlfriends and we had good meals.
My second visit was with the BF, whereby his friend and i decided to have a small surprise.
Warm salad was good, could be better with a bit more roasted vegetables.
The carbonara dishes were flavourful. Our only qualm was that the sauce was too watery.
All in all, the environment and waiters were great.
Definitely a place for good food with some good company.
About a few weeks ago I won a voucher for French toast n today I finally found time to give it a try with my bf.. I love the generous serving of pasta sauce and the French toast is really awesome!! Thanks! Will recommend to my friends!! Will try ur pesto pasta for my next visit! Keep it up!!!
We like that it opens early to accommodate early breakfast. Food is good and gourmet cooked. We love the pasta and Nasi Lemak. It can improve more on its ambience by coordinating the resto decors and its chairs.
Had the dessert and I wasn’t disappointed, for the price it’s alright wasn’t mad at the portion size at all. The waffles were alright the ice cream was good
Staff were friendly, food was good. The only issue is that the food may be served a little slower than you’d prefer. They used to have this amazing roasted Japanese sweet potatoes, but it was recently removed from the menu. Soba salad is my go-to: it never goes wrong!

Good Friends Cafe is one of the many establishments that makes up the lively food hub of SS15. It is just a 10-minute walk away from LRT SS15, adjacent to the SS15 car park complex. The cafe has an old school design with wooden flooring and furniture, very cosy. They also provide free plain water, magazines and UNO card games.
Their menu is quite standard for a cafe with options for sandwiches, pastas, pizzas, brunch etc. However, the price point is quite high for me. The best dish that I've tried is their Bacon Lover Waffles (RM24.90). Three quarters of waffles with a sunny-side up egg and bacon strips. The flavour combo of the savoury sides and the sweet waffles is spectacular. Another dish I would recommend is their 2pc scone set (RM7.90), served with a side of fresh coconut cream and homemade fruit jam. While their scones are so-so, the real star of the dish is their toppings. Their whipped cream is airy and light while the jam is super fragrant and not too sweet.
Other dishes that I've tried are their Homemade Chicken Lasagne (RM19) and their Chicken Bolognese Spaghetti (RM16). Portion and presentation for both dishes are quite impressive. However, for the lasagne I personally feel that the pasta to sauce ratio is abit off, with too little pasta. They are very generous with the cheese and sauce though. As for the spaghetti, the pasta is not homemade and has a waxy texture to it. Sauces used in both dishes are the same and are super flavourful and well-seasoned. The Smoked Salmon Sandwich (RM23.90) is very disappointing. It is just a thin layer of smoked salmon and lettuce sandwiched between a panini, served with a side of salad. The whole sandwich is pretty bland and the only thing that has flavour is some sesame mayo that is very mild. Given the price, portion is very small.
For dessert I had their Ultimate French Toast with Ice Cream (RM22). Two large pieces of french toast topped with honey, caramelized bananas, slivered almonds, strawberries and a large scoop of vanilla ice cream, all resting on a pool of 'mysterious yellow syrup'. The plating is quite stunning and the portion is impressive. As for the taste, it is not too sweet and all the components go well together. The yellow syrup tastes citrusy so I suspect it's either an orange or lemon coulis. The servers are very friendly and accommodating. Overall it's a solid cafe and I would definitely recommend it. They also have promotions through Eatigo so I would highly recommend to check them out through the app.
Menu and food are both unexpected from this cafe, with decent name and non fancy shop outer design.
Environment is very f&f type and range of food choices are good thou!
I had my picky friend visit this cafe and he gave this cafe a thumbs up!

went to eat brunch. friendly staff. order egg atlantic, fried chicken waffle and pet 2.0, red velvet cake and gula melaka coffee. Pet 2.0 was impressed me the most, as it taste very nice but it looks tastless when present in front of me. red velvet cake is good and moisture. gula melaka coffee can try. definitely will go back again.
Read some good reviews and have decided to give it a try. Ordered the fried chicken waffle, grilled chicken noodle and salmon duo spaghetti. Taste fine but nothing too special, not sure about the desserts though. Still, the staffs are friendly here, good atmosphere.
Food is nice! Tried their Creamy Carbonara and it’s good! Never try their coffee before but it looks beautiful :) the environment is comfortable too!
I always love this cafe. They serve great pasta & pizza. Their chicken & waffle is great .It's a place for coffee lovers as they have a twist in their classic coffees. I would like to try their rice wine coffee.
I am really impressed with the pasta and lasagna and overall foods/drinks that I had here. The foods reminded me of homecook goodness and childhood memories of having western food with my dear pop at some oldschool cafe back home. Haven't tasted pasta this good outside home for such long time. The dutch coffee is so picture worthy too hahaa! Also ordered the melaka sugar coffee drink, assume it will be sweet buy boy was i wrong. Such balance of coffee bitter with only a hint of sweetness. Well done guys. Definitely will come again.
The setting and environment of this cafe is nice and relaxing, not too bright and dark. The food we ordered was superb in quality and taste with reasonable price. The variety of food offered here is quite wide so it could cater for a large group with different preferences.
Enjoyed delicious dinner with few closed friends in a nice environment. Their pasta was perfectly cooked, like their hand dripped coffee, fresh fruit juice and carrot walnut cake.

I was quite skeptical about visiting this place initially. I will be meeting my 4 year old son's schoolmate and his family of 5 for the first time and scouting for a cafe to cater for everyone in the family. Playing the "host".
Reviews I read about are making me confused about this place. The food, the ambience, the service etc. So I had no choice but to try it on my own.
I would say that this place definitely is a kid friendly place. The play area attracted the kids right away. They were given a kid's menu to choose from and all costs at RM10.90.
My hubby tried the chicken lasagna and I ordered bruschetta platter. Overall I can say that we were quite satisfied with our food.
I would say coffee lovers should try their coffee here. We ordered their milk coffee (best seller), Dutch coffee (I love this!). I used to laugh at a lame joke about ordering "kopi ice without ice" but they have it on their menu! So we ordered that as well. It was rather special but I didn't get to taste it (I will go back to try that soon!)
The kids had fun and the adults get an undisrupted gathering. So I would say this is a good place to hang out and catch up.
Great food. I redeemed their French Toast with Ice Cream and I was pleasantly surprised that it was much bigger than I expected. The tea and cake of the day promotion was also very nice. Cozy interior. Instagram-worthy food presentation. Great service, in fact the service is improving lately. Would definitely recommend to others.
This cafe is not so famous because its location isn't so strategic. However it is a good place for you and your friends to chitchat here.

The waiter shall be trained well as they do not know about many promotions of their cafe.
Besides, I redeemed the French Toast with ice-cream from OffPeak and I've waited about 30 minutes for the food although there are not many customers there. It's quite slow.
However, initially I thought the French Toast is just a small portion but I was wrong. The actual price of this French Toast is RM22. It was added some banana and strawberry, really delicious!!!

In another week or so (Vanilla - The Mille Crepe Cafe), I should be clearing my table to officially hand over work. To say I was feeling happy, yes, because no more “early to bed, early to rise”, driving to and fro in the traffic jam and office politics has never been my game, so, good ridden to who is polishing or carrying tales to the boss. Still, deep down inside, emotions were twisted. Well, maybe lunching with colleagues I will miss and just as I was thinking back of the good moments, the good colleague suggested "Good Friends Restaurant", and beamingly at once I said yes.
We entered the restaurant, sat and instantly the menu came. The menu - oh-oh!! Interesting.
I like the baked eggs which the egg half-cooked is good served with the toast. Baked eggs come with broccoli, sausage, and homemade tomato sauce, topped with cheese. The environment is comfy and the staff here is very friendly. The light of the cafe is a bit poor and not good enough if you wish to take photo. But the price is reasonable for the food and enough to serve for us. If you wish to catch up with your buddies, do try here!
A go-to restaurant for pasta lovers! Nice ambience, pocket friendly, yes super tasty pasta dishes! Not so well-known bcs of its hidden location, but this is for sure, worth a try. Ordered their two ways salmon pasta , taste real good! Super creamy, the portion is generous, and the salmon chunks is no joke. The salmon was perfectly cooked and moist. Their pesto sauce was also tasty. A definite come back soon!
