The most impressive thing about The Uma is that since my first visit back in 2011 till now, they are able to maintain the amazing taste of their food. This is not an easy feat for any food establishment. I highly recommend the pork ribs, lamb curry, pork rendang, chicken sausage and the specialty Balinese dessert. There's another pork dish in their new menu that is awesome. This place never fail me.

The most authentic Balinese food you’ll find and quite possibly the best Balinese restaurant outside Bali. Great food, generous portions, reasonable prices.

Called in to make a reservation for my wife's surprise birthday celebration, they were very helpful in assisting me. The person in charge, Mr Ho was super accommodating! I even manage to talk the detailed arrangement with him. Food is great! Atmosphere is amazing (my wife thought it was a spa at first sight). Definitely will be back again. Loving it!

那时候客人并不多,我要求坐楼上,因为我就为那一片稻草而去的,店长人很好,虽然楼上没有客人,也打开空间和空调给我们在楼下行用餐,自然食物很美味,让我度过了一个美好的生日会。。

As authentic and as best as it gets in KL. Can't beat the taste and how meticulously food is prepared.

Probably one of the best Balinese food that I’ve tried in KL. I really love the ambience because it reminds me of home. The service is amazing too. Look forward to come again.

Incredible food. Incredible service. Its as authentic as it gets in town to what you can get in Bali. Accepts credit card. Reasonable pricing especially for 3 diners and above.

The Tipat Cantok (Balinese Gado Gado) and This vibrant complete dish :-Tuna Sambal Matah with Nasi Kuning/Nasi Saur served with kerupuk emping, two types of incendiary sambals (Tomat and Terasi) packed a nice fiery punch, vegetable, egg sambal and spicy potato fries always brings me back here even though the service is inconsistent. As for The Man and The Teenager, it's the various pork dishes. They loved the Sate Celeng and Urutan succulently tender barbecued pork satay and sausages, The main event was the Be Celeng Base Kalas - slow braised pork shoulder simmered in coconut milk and Balinese spices was absolutely satisfying. Our table was silent-with happiness as we happily devoured our spread.

I visit this restaurant for few times. Friend of mine and I found out that taste of food quite inconsistent, sometimes good, sometimes bad, vice versa. Anyhow, we love restaurant atmosphere and decoration. Staffs are friendly but food waiting time considered long, normally longer than 15mins. Food plating is decent, as well, presentable. High recommend their soup for soup fan, their pork ball and spicy tuna soup are Delicious. Not too salty but full of flavour.

Delicious, value for money Balinese food. Ordered their set lunch at RM12.90 which included a drink. The tender roast chicken was marinated well whilst the lamb curry had the right amount of spices.

It's tough to get good Balinese food in Klang Valley, especially the ones that serves pork. The Uma serves hearty Balinese food, thought incomparable to the ones in Bali, but it's that place we would think of to have good crispy duck rice. It's very good and serve with loads of sides and yummy chilli. Sadly, I did not think their pork ribs are anywhere near fantastic, I prefer the one at Nuri's. Our ribs did not fall off the bone...

This restaurant gives off a very warm vibe. The interior is decorated with balinese furnishings which sits well with its balinese food. There is some flute (maybe balinese) music playing in the background which was somewhat soothing as it was not too loud. Moving upstairs, you are seated on the floor as the balinese do which is different from the ground floor where you are seated on tables and chairs.
Service here is fast, the waiters are very attentive and helpful. The manager (I think, probably) was a very nice lady 😊

The portion for the food is quite big given the price you pay. Grace had the mushroom nasi ratus which is the balinese individual meal. It comes with some traditional balinese side dishes. I had the Balinese lamb curry set lunch priced at RM12.90(+) which also comes with some side dishes and black eyed pea rice and a drink! I had the Teh serai (lemongrass drink). Food was tasty and the drink wasn't watered down as some restaurants do with their set lunches. The value was definitely there and the price isn't too expensive as well. The total came up to RM41.70.

Would definitely come back for more!

We chanced upon this place while looking for a place to eat in The Strand. There weren't much choice in this area and the restaurant stands out from the rest with it non commercial shop front. It looked more like a spa or antique furniture shop from the outside.

We had the individual set of steamed duck and grilled pork ribs, priced at around RM30. The portion was huge but it was delicious! It was nothing like we have tasted before. Rather foreign in flavours but very delicious. We were amazed to reliase that the kitchen was handled by a young Malaysian Chinese man, who is also the owner.

Friendly place, beautifuly decored, and feeling very much like in Bali with its soothing music and romantic lighting.

Strongly recommended!

You enter the restaurant to soothing music, birds chipping. Nice ambience to relax to. It's furnished with woodern furnitures throughout.

There was a total of 4 of us, so we took the set for 4. We chose set C, which comes with 3 main dishes, grilled pork ribs, lamb curry and grilled chicken. All sets comes with 7 other side dishes like kangkung, fried potato strips etc. We are given 3 choices of rice to choose from.

Overall experience, taste wise it was not bad. Grilled pork - meat was soft, tender and flavourful. Lamb curry - the lamb had a REALLY strong smell which put me off.

I would recommend this place for those who've not tried balinese food. Give it a go!
