It's definitely a hidden gem! A cafe that brought me some memory back in the UK. The staff were friendly and helpful. Coffee was great and quite a variety choice of food to choose from. Environment was suitable for casual hangouts or working with lappies, both small or big group. Only thing that wasnt perfect is that the parking could be problematic during peak hours due to limited parking space. Will come back again!
I was there just after opening for a Sunday brunch. Cozy and friendly service, with easy to read and interesting menu. I had the Sea Salted Coffee which was like a latte with hints of salt on top and airy marshmallow complement.
The Mushroom Soup was thick yet creamy delicious. My Chicken Spinach Leek Pie was tasty too. The pie pastry itself was buttery and crispy without the sauce being too overpowering.
A great place for family/friend gatherings.
Excellent service and delicious food. Make sure to give the rice a la morocc a try and the chocolate cup for an over-decadent diabetical nightcap. 11/10 will go again
Great service. Great food with great portion. The price is good . 4 person for 130rm.
Service:4/5
Food:3.5/5
Price:4/5
Place quite strategic with great ambience
I must say that this is one hidden gem. Husband and I were surprised that we didn't knew about the existence of this place until I start checking on Zomato. I would have given it a 5 but we waited too long for the desert until my coffee decided to cool down.
Love love loveeeee the hot chocolate! The house blend is amazing too. The ambience is relaxing, perfect for couples or families that just want a quiet and relaxing cafe day out. Love the place!
Visited on 22/7/17. Nice ambient.. I like the environment because it is not noisy.. perhaps due to not many customer during the time I visited. It's spacious! Ordered Kingstreet big breakfast & mushroom truffled open pie & cappuccino & brown sugar latte. My friend quite like the brown sugar latte as it is not very sweet & just about right. Food are good though.. pretty standard. Will pay for another visit to try out some other food. Recommended for this cafe if you looking for not that crowded & cozy environment. This is a nice place to spend during your weekend.
P/s : booked through offpeak to get extra 10% discount during my visit , but it seem they always have forgotten it when come to billing, if you are booking through offpeak too, do double check your billing before you make your payment.
A gem hidden in Seputeh. Surprisingly they have good food and coffee. Must try their pies and spicy noodles (don't be fool by its looks). Not so good is their dessert - the toast was so so and the brownie is way too dry.

Nice foods and drinks .. services are good.. pricing are reasonable .. great ambience.. Worth the money !
Thumbs up 👍👍👍 definitely will visit again ..
The food is pretty tasty. I was surprise how dull the zucchini pasta look but it tasted amazing. The chicken chop was really good.
Pretty good presentation. Plus point!
I love the service and ambiance
I find the food overpriced.
I was attracted by the decoration and environment of this cafe ☺️
I ordered their big breakfast and chocolate marshmallow 🍞🍳☕️🍫
Overall the foods are not bad but I love the environment as very relaxing 😌
I liked this cafe because the setting is very spacious and a comfortable place to chill. I loved the "open pie" which is their specialty. Will definitely visit again soon!

Located right in the heart of KL and easy to get to from any pot of origin. Plenty of seating inside with a sensible fitout.
The food on offer was nice with the usual charm associated with the locals.
I would've liked the coffee to be a little better but overall still pleased
Great cafe with great location. The staff has good knowledge about the service and food . Cool Ambience . Definetly a worth go place in Malaysia
Great cafe and restaurant, loved the mushroom soup! They use a ice bucket to cool your juices, keeping the juices cold without diluting it with ice. It really preserves the flavours of the fruits!
Great coffee, yummy salted caramel brownies and vanilla ice cream with real vanilla pods.
Excellent experience and many poke stops too!
Finally tried this cafe using a promo voucher, nice spacious cafe with beautiful clean decor. Good food, decent portions. Their filtered coffee and juices is a must try. aircond not cold enough though, perhaps sharing space with the furniture shop.
The fish & chips is very nice. Quite a healthy portion too and it is not the usual dory fish that other places used. Definitely worth the price. Other things to try is the honey bbq chicken too.
Best fish and chips in kl !! My family wanted to come here every week , very special fish and chips . Rice a la morocc is the best choice for chicken lover ! Juicy chicken and the taste is suprisingly tasty . Nice food and coffee for a reasonable price ! Will visit here again ! Best cafe I ever visited . Yummy :)
Best coffee in Malaysia , enjoy the atmosphere here . Delicious food and enjoyable environment . Nice salted chicken and brown sugar latte . Highly recommended to order the brown sugar latte !!! Best in town 😁👌
Quite hard to find the place actually. Lamb rack considered costly bcz the portion is quite small. The big breakfast is gd enuf to share by 2 ppl. Mocha smells n tastes superb bcz they used quality coffee. Thx to zomato for this nice treat.
Really nice flat white and delicious Guinness beef open pie :) very cute wonka's chocolate cup too! Definitely recommend to try this cosy cafe with friends.
Really not discover this place until Ho Chak on air last sunday. Come and try the Guinness Beef Pie, soft meat and crispy bread
The Toast Gasm is soft bread with delicious pandan ice cream. The wild mushroom just normal taste.
Tasty dessert, especially their Toast-gasm. Soft bread serve with ice cream.
Personally, Tobiko Prawn Carbonara taste normal, and nothing much impressed me.
Impressed their service about how they've handled their late-served dish.
It was a very famous restaurant in Zomato. I saw its appear everywhere and i plan to having lunch here. When i enter to kingstreet and the enviroment was nice. And its offer lunch meal which is japanese omelette with smoked salmon fried rice and cooffee on the rock. The taste was so nice and good me try. Waiter services was nice.hopefully 5 star.
Ooommmmmaaaaiiiiggggaaaaddd!!! Toast gasm is realllyyy ggooooddd!!!! I love the pandan ice cream on top of the toast. The taste really compliment each other. Havent tried their other dishes yet but i will definitely go here for Toast gasm.
Good food.. Comfy Fish & Chips was the fav or try the Open Pie - Chicken & Spinach is the best for me. For beverage the Salted Coffee is my fav .. imagine a salted cappuccino and comes with a marshmallow for the sweetness - a match made in heaven (in a way)
Thanks zomato for the foodie meetup! Had so much fun!
The location is right next to the federal highway, next to a furniture store. Signage isn't very clear to indicate the turning into the road leading to the restaurant.
Interior decor, the idea behind it was to use the furnitures from the shop next door. Has a modern touch to it.
Quiet ambience, good place to catch up with friends.
Owner King was very passionate in what he does, especially when it comes to coffee. His wide knowledge in coffee keeps us engaged to know more (eventhough I do not drink coffee at all). I liked how he took the time to explain to us newbies.
The dishes we tried were Corn Wonders, Spaghetti Bar Italia, Guinness Beef Open Pie, Toast-gasm.
I like the spaghetti, prawns were cooked well but I felt that overall it was abit dry. Could've used a little more oil. The Guinness open pie was delicious! However the meat in mine was abit tough, I would've prefer it if it was falling off the bones. Some of the others tried the Chicken and spinach pie and that was soo good as well! I like it coz it's creamy, goes well with the crispy and light puff pastry.
Toast-gasm, I personally didn't like it because of the burnt taste. But I guess this is more subjective. Some like the 'toast' taste that comes with it (they literally use a torch to toast the bread)
overall experience was great, service was good and I had a fun time! ❤❤❤
Had a great Zomato foodie meet up last Thursday at Kingstreet cafe. The environment there is good, quite, is a great place to stay there for couple of hours with your friends or alone with ur favorite books. King who is the boss there explained every dish they served and the story behind each of every dish. My favorite dishes are Guinness beef open pie, toast gasm and coffee on the rocks. No doubt I can say toast gasm and coffee on the rocks is a must to try when you visit Kingstreet cafe They are sooooo good and thanks I got an extra toast gasm from them. The taste of coffee on the rocks remain in my mouth for so long. Toast Gasm which served with bread and pandas ice cream is the best combination u can't eat alone the bread or the ice cream trust me ! I definitely will visit again !
Thanks to zomato for the invitation !
#zomatomeetup
The foods are extremely delicious! My fav is Chicken Spinach & Leek Pie. The Toast-gasm also mouthwatering with their pandan icecream and gula melaka!
Had a great time at my first Zomato meet up in Malaysia! King from Kingstreet Café really oozed with passion for both the coffee and food they had on offer which inspired me to start writing Zomato reviews in Malaysia as well!
Kingstreet Café has a clean and spacious feel to it. We got to try 4 dishes: the grilled sweet corn with a homemade secret spice, Parmesan cheese shavings and lime; spaghetti tossed with pan seared prawns and smoked duck; the Guinness beef open pie served with mashed potatoes and a salad; and finally dessert – torch-toasted brioche topped with pandan ice cream and gula Melaka.
Overall I enjoyed each dish and you can definitely count on the fact that a lot of thought has been put into each component of the dish, fusing together to complement each other. My personal favourite was the Guinness beef open pie – the mash was creamy and moreish, the homemade pastry buttery and delicious and finally the beef itself was tender, hearty and full of flavour. I also thought the prices were pretty reasonable, especially considering how much thought and effort went into each dish.
We also got to try the coffee: Black/filter coffee is still not my first choice when it comes to coffee (I prefer a flat white), but King’s enthusiasm and knowledge for coffee was so contagious it made me want to learn how to appreciate this type of coffee!
All coffee addict, attention please !
This cafe is really serious in serving great coffee as they are continuously being innovative in pleasing their customers and all the staffs are super friendly.
Coming here for my first #zomatomeeup (huraaay!) and had a really enjoyable dinner plus a whole new level of knowledge about coffee.
The place is not that easy to find, its 5-10 mins away from Mid Valley, near the brickfields (little india) area there.
Being served 4 course dinner which are all prepared and cooked nicely :
The corn wonders - sweet corn with spices plus a punch of generously sprinkled parmesan is oddly satisfying.
Spaghetti Bar Italia - my favorite. The smoked duck smells so freakinly appealing and though I normally like my food to be salty, this one is just right. It's not that salty but every bite is full of flavors ❤️
I adore their homemade puff pastry on the guinness beef open pie. It's reallyyyyy nice. Further, the beef brisket was so tender you dont need your knife to cut it.
Last one toast-gasm - it's really my first time enjoying pandan ice cream and it compliments the toast very well, not too sweet and such a good way to end the meal.
Thankyou zomato for inviting me to #zomatomeetup, such a pleasure!
Had our amazing dinner at Kingstreet cafe today. The place was kinda hard to find since they don't have an obvious sign. Ambiece, a very spacious place on the inside, a very homey and hearty place to dine in. Service was exceptional, staffs were very friendly and welcoming. For the food, here are the food and beverages that were served to us:
- coffee: when they said they serve coffee, they REALLY mean it. Were served black toraja coffee, very aromatic. Also tried their house blend cold brew coffee which consist of columbia, brazil, and mandolin brew.
- corn wonders: an elevated version of corn on the cob, cheese was generous
- spaghetti bar italia: a bit too oily for me, but tastewise, amazing! The smell of smoked duck was tempting
-guiness beef open pie: beef was very tender, sauce was delicious. Pastry was freshly baked.
- toast-gasm: toasted brioche with pandan ice cream and gula melaka. A mouthgasmic experience, nice plating as well
Outstanding menu, amazing service, great ambience and top quality food. Everything from start to end is well thought out, superbly crafted and flawlessly executed. Must tries include the corn wonders, spaghetti bar Italian, Guinness beef open pie and the toast-gasm. And that's ALL the dishes I tried here in one visit. It gives me the confidence to say that every dish here is a must-try. Good job to the chefs for upholding a such a high standard at this establishment. #zomatomeetup #zomatoMY
Service - the service was effortless, friendly staffs and very informative.
Food - we had a course meal and each meal was excellent. From start to end, it was perfect. The taste was point on. For the spaghetti bar italia, a little more salt would be nice as i felt it was slightly plain.
Environment - the place and vibe is nice. Quiet, a good place to go away from the hectic lifestyle.
Location - Location is quite difficult and not easy to find. If u miss the junction, you'll have to make a very long u turn that will take at least 15minutes. Price - wow, for the food presentation and the portion of the food. The price here is very reasonable. Quite surprised.
Overall - I will come here again for sure. Food is genuinely nice and for this type of food, its considered very very reasonable. I love this place! Please go and try it!
It's not very often we find cafes that bring about a refreshing feel and look, away from the rustic everything and anything. Kingstreet is one seriously hidden gem whose owners believe in reviving classic and comfort.
It took a tad bit of effort to find the place. You'll definitely need an attentive eye to not miss the right turning from the road junction. Once you get there (its located in a furniture lot), its pretty much car park heaven. Did I mention, its free too.
The entire place brought about a nostalgic reminiscence of old Victorian designs. Simple, classic and extremely photogenic.
Coffee here was what I would describe as, an adventure. We had 'Sparkling Espresso', 'Sea Salted Coffee' and 'Coffee on the Rocks'. Listed under their specials, these were all really unique individually! A definite must-try and not to be missed if you're looking for a twist from regular coffee.
While we skipped food as we had lunch earlier, the menu did consist of classic dishes which you'll immediately recognize. What we did have though was dessert which Kingstreet only has one, the 'Toast-gasm'. I won't describe it for you here, in hopes you try it yourself. It's name speaks strongly for itself.
Overall, service was friendly and attentive, ambience was comfortable enough to sit in a few hours and coffee did not let down. I would definitely recommend this place for a change.
