This really is a Gem of a Place. Great Menu choice catering for most tastes as well as budgets. Very carefully matched wine list with dome Great wines. Food is really good, I can highly recommend the Chicken stuffed with Mussels, Prawns and Scallops with a delicious sauce with Celery and fennel. All freshly prepared and cooked. Presentation is really good. Sweet menus is predominantly strawberry based, but we opted for the Chocolate Brownie - this was just perfect. Please keep up the excellent food and service. Quaint and cosy ambience greeted us as we walked in followed by the warm welcome of the staffs. It was off peak season apparently and my husband kiddo and I felt like we had the whole restaurant reserved just for us ;) as an expecting mom was craving for some good chicken chop and I wasn't disappointed. The mash that came along with it was to die for. Husband ordered the chicken skewers with fried rice. It was spicy and just the way he liked it. He enjoyed his house pouring red wine and I loved the fresh orange juice. The staffs were very attentive and efficient. Oh for starters we had the original bruschetta which was delish too... Will definitely be back for more; perhaps with company.. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

The food and service at Matterhorn is first class. The entree came at the right time and the mains came out together....very impressed about this and rare for Johor!!
