First time here tonight!!!! We absolutely loved it. From the second We walked in, I knew this was gonna be my new place. Coming from up North, good Italian food is hard to find here, well...I can no longer say that! �The staff was outstanding, our server Abby was superb!! I had a seafood pasta dish with shrimp and scallops, it was probably the best seafood pasta dish Ive ever had! Also had a ceasar salad....delicious!! We have lived in the area for 3.5 years...we have found our new favorite restaurant. ��
Great atmosphere, great food and most of all the service was on point. I have been in the restaurant industry for 17 years and worked in an Italian restaurant for almost 10 of them and this is the best food I have been able to find in years. Glad that we found Gianni's and we will definitely be back!
The best place for dinner or lunch on union street! Always a nice waiter/ waitress and has the awesome pasta and pizza.
Shared an anniversary dinner with our great friends here last night. Ying was our waitress & she was excellent. So sweet, introduced herself, asked our names. Food was excellent!
Had enough to bring home leftovers. Mark the bartender made great drinks & Giovanna the owner came over & introduced himself & asked how our meal was. This was a wonderful experience right in our own little town! Highly suggest this place for dining.
I enjoy anything I get here...pizza, pasta, salads, sandwiches and now burgers!! :) Delicious!! The owners are extremely friendly and approachable, and the staff are always super nice and helpful! Believe me, we go here a lot, dining both upstairs and downstairs, lunch and dinner (and the occasional mid-afternoon snack) dine in or take out, and the menu and service are excellent and very consistent.
Had their pizza and it was the best we've had in a long time! We asked for extra ingredients and our server did a great job making sure it was just like we wanted it! Only bad thing is we don't live anywhere near it!
Excellent food, good service, warm atmosphere, and the owner (maybe manager) came over to our table to greet us, check on our food, and engage in some playful conversation with the kiddo. This will be a regular place to dine out for us!
Fantastic food. The chef is wonderful. She uses all fresh ingredients. I would recommend this trattoria to anyone visiting Charlotte.
Always good. Have never had anything that wasn’t. Always bring friends from out of town there too eat & they always come back.
Great food, with a wide variety and very good specials - service is always top notch and it is a great local business. On my list of favorites.
I love this place. I went yesterday (Sunday 8/13/17) with my best friend Samantha. We had to wait several minutes to be seated. When we did get seated, it was at a table near the entrance.
We asked our waitress to let us move and she was phenomenal. She was gracious and kind without being pushy or too talkative. My Caesar salad was excellent, my pasta cooked to perfection. The dessert was so yummy and I rarely order that.
Yes, great food takes time. This isn't a chain restaurant. It's a local business. Be prepared to take your time and enjoy the atmosphere, your friends and take the time to talk to each other. Put your phone away. If you want something fast, go to a chain restaurant.
I have also eaten in the pizza loft several times. Yes it will take time because I know each pizza is made individually. Again, slow down your expectations and look around you, enjoy the company and just be.
