A old school setting behind OCBC bank. There was a queue at 4pm on a weekday but the queue moved quickly. It is located near the herbal roast duck restaurant. We were also served quickly. The young boss was matter of factly but in no way, impatient or rude.
I do not know if they have several variety of bakes because the banana cake was the only things I bought . I alone bought 6 large boxes and 2 small boxes.
A large box of 10 banana cakes costs RM20 and a small box of 5 banana cakes costs RM10. The cakes were sold piping hot. The steam could still be seen when the box was covered.
The cake was soft, moist and flavourful. The awesome thing is it wasn’t sweet. The taste was pleasant that I could eat a few pieces at a go. After 2 days, the cakes remained moist and fresh even though I did not place them in the refrigerator. I love the simple goodness of the cake.
I reminisced about the wonderful taste even two week after tasting them. It will be my sure to drop by place whenever I visit JB. Hor Jiak !
Personally feel that is the best banana cake I’ve ever had, reason being is very soft and fluffy like a pillow 🤤❤️ Keep it up and will definitely come back for more!!
Be prepared to queue & wait, fresh from oven banana cakes gone in minutes...
I have been to JB many times but was not able to find the place till now. Now that I know it's walkable from City Square, I'm so thrilled. The banana cake is very soft and fragrant! It's freshly baked and sold from the furnace! Must buy.. It's worth the queuing! Sedap!!
Cakes are fresh and tasty. I think there is no preservatives so we need to keep the cakes in the fridge. Cut a piece and warm up in the microwave for 15 seconds. Still taste good after 3 - 4 days. Excellent value for money.
Bought the Banana cakes after 45 minutes queuing, even on weekdays...... It is delicious.....One of staff says they only sells Butter cakes on Thursday. Their homemade kuehs is good too.
The banana cake and buns are worth the queue. My 2 year old grand daughter's favourite cake. ���
A must to buy when im in JB. Awesome, fluffy, soft, flavourful and the best banana cake in ever tasted! Kept in for 2 days, still yummy☺☺☺
