Via Pre - Italy in George Town
I'm from Germany, lived long in Munich, from there it's just 4 hours to the famous Lago di Garda. I travel now for over one year and when I had dinner at Via Pre tonight it was like home. Reminiscing times in Italy or in good Italian restaurants in Munich. I had Pizza Bufolina with parmigiano, rucola, mozzarella di bufala, prosciutto di Parma, espresso, grappa, and as a nice gesture from the owner: a limoncello. On the second floor they have more tables to cater guests and wonderful couches to chill. I used the place upstairs for reading after dinner.
Owner and staff are very friendly and attentive. You can even buy ham, salami, cheese ... - like in a Deli. I liked the place very much and recommend it for Italian delights. For me it has been a bit home away from home. Thank you and happy new year!
Great food and service. Food was worth the quality, portion and authenticity. Our main server was accommodating and attentive. The only bad are that we had to wait long for one forgotten order and the other server should ask before removing the bread basket. Despite that, we really enjoyed our dinner here. Will visit again!
Second time at Via Pre....very attentive service good atmosphere and the food served is authentic and plentiful...location is very convenient with lots of accommodation place nearby...
Must go and try there outlet in KL Daman Bukit Damansara now...I'm sure it will not be a disappointment...
Abbiamo mangiato qui 2 volte, pizza molto buona, più buona che in molte pizzerie italiane, cibo top, dolci squisiti, staff molto gentile. Super consigliato!!!

The food is always an excellent with excellent service and cozy. The staff is always polite! We love their vireties of pasta, pizzas and off cause my favourite of Tiramisu! Its my favourite restaurant to go to and I'm regular! Oh btw, ensure make a reservation..Enjoy bella gente!
Been to Via Pre 3 times within 2 days probably will go for my last dinner in Penang tonight . I had beef carpaccio, focaccia ham&mozzarella , seafood pizza , warm apple crumble with macadamia ice cream .
I have been a chef over 13 years and trust me this is the place to be if you want good Italian food !

My friends and I go to eat lunch or dinner at Via Pre quite often. The food, ambience and service are always impeccable. 5+ stars every time.
Via Pre in Penang, run by Filippo, is our regular haunt since March 2017. We lunch there, and entertain our friends for dinner. Don and I are vegetarians. Filippo and his staff go out of their way to choose and prepare special dishes for us. Many of our non-vegetarian friends enjoy the excellent dishes on the extensive food menu. The exclusive wines are reasonably priced. A fantastic dining experience. Meet me there.
Best restaurant in Georgetown, friendly staff and great food, here you can have a real taste of Italy and enjoy the nice atmosphere. Will definitely come back here 😃😋✌🏻
My first time here, I was really impressed with the food and service, everything was perfect. To be honest that was probably one of the best pizzas I've had! Highly recommended and I'll be back for sure (:
Staff were very helpful and intuitive! They know exactly when to clear a plate and when to refill a glass. Made my birthday dinner a very warm evening indeed. The quality of the food is exceptional, evident in every bite. Thank you for a lovely service!
My favourite Italian restaurant in Penang that can satisfy my craving for authentic food in terms of quality and use of codiments. My favourite will be the cold cut and cheese selection which can be customised to my liking....absolutely yummy �
